Abstract
La sociedad de la información se apoya necesaria e innegablemente en las tecnologías para transformarse en un vehículo conductor del conocimiento, que a partir de las modernas técnicas pedagógicas transforma al alumno en el protagonista de su propio modelo de aprendizaje. La educación integral del alumno donde los conceptos y temas desarrollados sean por él mismo promovidos, tiene como desafío conseguir una integración del conocimiento para lograr que se transformen en ideas integradoras, basadas en la educación autogestionada con docentes facilitadores, conductores y referentes. A los educadores y a las instituciones les compete ayudar a los alumnos en la gestión del conocimiento, lo cual implica un necesario cambio en los modelos de aprendizaje, y el replanteo no ya de “cómo enseñar” sino de "cómo aprender”. Para el docente el desafío es enorme, ya que no sólo debe transformarse en un inmigrante digital para adaptarse a los tiempos, sino que además debe aprender a enseñar en la desafiante sociedad del conocimiento.

It is the responsibility of educators and institutions to help students in knowledge management, which implies a necessary change in learning models, and the rethinking not of “how to teach” but of “how to learn”. For the teacher, the challenge is enormous, since he must not only become a digital immigrant to adapt to the times, but he must also learn to teach in the challenging knowledge society.
