| dc.description.abstract | El religioso francés, Maurice d’Hulst (1841-1896), se refirió al siglo XIX como “el siglo del Sagrado Corazón”. Efectivamente, dicha devoción adquirió una importante relevancia en el transcurso del siglo XIX. Por este motivo, el siguiente trabajo pretende estudiar los orígenes de la devoción al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús en la ciudad de Salta durante las primeras décadas del siglo XIX, para comprender la manifestación de este fenómeno religioso global en un espacio local. El estudio tendrá en cuenta sobre todo la agencia de doña Manuela Martínez de Tineo, cuya vinculación familiar con la Compañía de Jesús durante la época colonial despertó en ella una fuerte devoción hacia el Corazón de Jesús. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The French religious, Maurice d’Hulst (1841-1896), referred to the 19th century as “the century of the Sacred Heart.” Indeed, this devotion acquired important relevance in the course of the 19th century. For this reason, the following work aims to study the origins of the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the city of Salta during the early decades of the 19th century, to understand the manifestation of this global religious phenomenon in a local space. The study will take into account above all the agency of Mrs. Manuela Martínez de Tineo, whose family connection with the Society of Jesus during the colonial era awakened in her a strong devotion to the Heart of Jesus. | |
